| Eligibility: | B.T.T.M. / B.B.A. (Tourism) / B. Voc. (Tourism) or any other equivalent degree approved as equivalent to B.T.T.M. by Pondicherry University. |
Candidates who belong to Puducherry State are exclusively eligible for admission into the Ph.D. programme in KMGIPSR.
| Other state candidates are allowed to apply and appear in the entrance examination for Ph. D. admission into their respective departments. Their admission will be materialised if the vacancy rose after distributing the existing seats to the Puducherry residents. |

| Candidates must hold a Master’s degree (10+2+3+2 or 10+2+5 pattern) in the relevant subject or allied discipline. |
| Minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC (Non creamy layer)/PwD). |
| Final-year PG students may apply. |
| JRF/ NET/ UGC-CSIR/INSPIRE fellows and the candidates who have qualified in Category 2 (i.e., qualified for Appointment as Assistant Professor) and Category 3 (i.e. qualified for admission to Ph.D. only) based on CSIR-UGC NET 2026 / UGC-NET 2026 are exempted from entrance exam. |
