DEPARTMENT OF FRENCH
- Genesis
Established in 1989, The Department of French offers Master of Arts Course in French. The Department has so far produced more than 300 Postgraduates and more than100 soft-core students, Basic course for French for other disciplines.
All Faculty members have pursued their higher studies and undergone special training programs in France.
Active participation of Faculty members in Seminars, Workshops, National and International Conferences proves their penchant for literature and research. They have proved their mettle as Translators through publication of their books translated from French into Tamil and vice versa.
Many research articles in literary journals and Reviews showcase their talent in their specialized fields.
Special lectures and frequent visits of eminent scholars from India are organized to motivate the students. Interaction with external speakers also helps to kindle in them the interest for higher studies, research and teaching.
